Pick up transfer from
your hotel within Phuket or Phuket Airport or Khao
Lak. Transfer to the pier at Tablamu. Arriving at
Tablamu pier and embark M/ V Nautica around 18.00
hrs. Sip your welcome cocktail, listen to the boat
briefing and check into your cabin. Dinner will be
served while cruising the west coast of Thailand. |
Day 1 |
Arriving at the "Multi Purpose Port" in Ranong early morning. After breakfast check-out from Thailand. Cross the Pakchan River to Kawthaung and check-in to Myanmar. (Note: Immigration formalities for both border check points will be conveniently cleared onboard MV Nautica). Lunch onboard while departure from Kawthaung for our first stop at "The Horse Shoes Island". Cruising around the island and enjoy the sunset. Dinner onboard of MV Nautica. |
Day 2 |
Early
morning before breakfast our tour leader will give you a few simple
instructions on how to safely use of Sea Kayaks and you will have a chance
to venture out and explore the large bay. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and
the sun rising up behind the forested mountains of the island. Back on the
boat have a hearty breakfast and depart for a short cruise to Blue Lagoon (Kyet
Mauk Island) another ideal location to try out your kayaking skills. After
that we will continue our cruise to Pirate Island (Tharn Kyun Nge) to meet
the first Moken people who take care of a small Cashew nut plantation on the
tiny island. Swim or snorkel at the beach before we continue cruise to the "
Bolder Rock Island (Buddha Bay) after lunch. We will spend the rest of the
afternoon here. We will explore "Bolder Rock Island" (Buddha Bay), Large
smooth Granite rocks, secluded powder sugar fine sandy beaches and crystal
clear water make a magnificent backdrop during your kayak excursion around
the island. It is excellent for snorkeling and scuba diving. Enjoy dinner
onboard of MV Nautica while we cruise to the Great Swinton Island. |
| Day 3 |
Early
morning we will wake up at Great Swinton Island (Pilar Kyunn). After
having breakfast we will kayaking if you wish a little exercise or take a
dingy ride to the beach for strolling along "The Long Beach" (3.5km)
or take the opportunity to swim and snorkel in the clear turquoise waters.
We will spend most of the morning time around the beach exploring the jungle
or even just relax on the beach can be done too. After Lunch onboard of MV
Nautica we will take the boat around the island to the south side, our
mooring spot for the night at "Iguana Bay". Take the dinghy or sea
kayak to run over to the tiny island on the other sideof the bay to view the sunset. Dinner onboard. |
| Day 4 |
After
early breakfast there is some more time for snorkelling and sea kayaking at
the house reef before we depart to a famous dive site a few miles north of
the island, called "Shark Cave". This is a great spot for a diving or
fishing before lunch time. After lunch continue to another great beach on "Wa
Ale Kyun" ideal for swimming, beach walking and relaxation. Late afternoon
we will continue our cruise to reach "Salet Galet Lagoon" between "Lampi
Island" and "Wa Ale Kyun", our mooring spot for the night. (This
lagoon are basically two round gab joining in between two different islands.
The local fishermen use this gab as a short cut from one side to the other
or sometimes they just use them for the shelter duringthe Monsoon season) Dinner onboard. |
| Day 5 |
For
early risers there is the chance to follow a local Moken hunter up to the
358 meter high "West Peak" on "Lampi Island". This medium
strength hike will take approximately 3½ hours up hill through lush jungle
forest until you reach the view point on top of the hill, which will
presents a great view onto the lagoon. Those who like to take it easier will
have a chance to meet the Moken people who have established a small
settlement with wooden huts on a small island in the middle of the lagoon or
take the kayak and venture into the nearby mangrove forest. Lunch on board.
Continue the safari further south to a large tidal river leading right into
the heart of the island. Enter the river on Sea kayak or dinghy and follow
the stream into the island, passing curious monkeys looking for food on
large sand bars. The views and the sounds of the ancient rainforest on the
hills along side the river bank come across like scenes of the movie
Jurassic Park. In time for sun set return to the boat and we will continue
cruise down south long the shore of this vast island and stop in front of
the mouth of another magnificent mangrove lagoon. We will spend the night
here and dinner onboard.. |

| Day 6 |
After
breakfast we will cruise along the shore of this vast island and stop in
front of the mouth of another magnificent mangrove lagoon. Options are to
take the sea kayak and explore the lagoon or stroll along the large pristine
beach. Around lunch we will visit "Ma Kyone Galet", one of the
biggest and most populated Sea Gipsy settlements in the archipelago. Go on
shore and meet the People. Learn how to navigate a Moken style sea canoe and
how to use a spear to catch fish. Visit the local pagoda on the hill and
enjoy the unique views. In the afternoon we continue to the "Three
Islets" (Island no. 115), a cluster of three beautiful tiny islands. We
will find the mooring spot here then we will go to the beach and prepare for
the beach BBQ. We will find the spot to have a nice sunset scene and
watching the Fruite Bat (Flying Fox) leaving the island for the mainland.

| Day 7 |
After
breakfast we will go for a dive or snorkel at the house reef or just follow
the tour leader on a short hike through the light jungle to the beach on the
north side of the island. Here you will find another small settlement of
Salone people (Another type of Sea Gipsy) who live in very simple jungle
huts directly at the beach. Learn about their secret way of live and let
them show you how to survive in this rugged place. Return to the boat for
lunch and we will cruise to "Macleod Island" (Koh Yin Kwa). Here is
where the only resort located in the whole Mergui Archipelago (About 800
different islands). We will snorkel around the magnificent reef and
afterward we will get the chance to visit Andaman Resort Myanmar. For those
who would like to stay extra day here can check in right away. The rest of
the group will be returned to the boat for overnight cruise back to "Kawthaung".

| Day 8 |
After
breakfast disembark the boat and take part in a short sightseeing tour
around the bustling border town. Stroll through the lively market near the
Jetty, visit the famous "Victoria Point", the most southern tip of
Myanmar's mainland, photo stop at the King "Bayint Naung" statue, who
is famous in Burmese history for invading and destroying Ayudhaya in old
Siam. Visit the "Pyi Daw Aye Pagoda" with scenic views across the river to
Ranong and finish the tour with a short drive through the fishermen
settlements on the outskirts of the town. Embark Nautica check-out Myanmar
and cross the Pakchan River to Ranong and check-in to Thailand. After lunch
onboard it is time to say good bye to the Crew. Travel early afternoon by
Minibuses to Khao Lak, Phuket Airport or to your hotel within Phuket.
