Nature Safari - MV Nautica (6 days / 6 nights)


Safari Itinerary: Phuket - Kawthaung - Island No.115 - Ma Kyone Galet (Bo Cho Island) - Lampi Island (Salet Galet) - Great Swinton Island (Pilar Kyun) - Bolder Island (Buddha Bay) - Macleod Island (Andaman Resort) - Kawthaung - Phuket
 
Departure Day

Pick up transfer from your hotel within Phuket or Phuket Airport or Khao Lak. Transfer to the pier at Tablamu. Arriving at Tablamu pier and embark M/ V Nautica around 18.00 hrs. Sip your welcome cocktail, listen to the boat briefing and check into your cabin. Dinner will be served while cruising the west coast of Thailand.
 

Day 1 Arriving at the "Multi Purpose Port" in Ranong early morning. After breakfast check-out from Thailand. Cross the Pakchan River to Kawthaung and check-in to Myanmar. (Note: Immigration formalities for both border check points will be conveniently cleared onboard MV Nautica). Lunch onboard while departure from Kawthaung for our first stop to the "Island no 115 (The Three Islets)". Dinner onboard MV Nautica and overnight in-front of "Island No 115".
Day 2 After breakfast option to take the sea kayak to explore the area or join a short jungle walk across the island to the beach at the north side. Swimming and snorkelling at the beautiful house reef is a must. Whilst having lunch we will continue the cruise to the largest Salone/Moken settlement in the area called Ma Kyone Galet on Bo Cho island. Learn about the village life and take scenic pictures from the Pagoda located on the hill overlooking the entire village. Dinner onboard and overnight at Ma Kyone Galet.
Day 3 After Breakfast we will cruise north to Lampi Island (about 1 hour) and stop in-front of the ancient mangrove lagoon right at the southern tip of Lampi. Take the sea kayak and immerse yourself in this fragile eco system, listen to the sounds of the birds monkeys and other wild life to be found there. Alternatively you can use the about 1.5 km long beach for a nice morning walk and dip in the clear water. During lunch we will continue to cruise north along the west coast of Lampi Island to reach a tidal river that leads about 4 km into the island. Another great spot for an excursion on Kayak or rubber dinghy. Late afternoon we will make our way to Salet Galet Lagoon located between the north-western shore of Lampi Island and Wa Ale Kyun, our mooring spot for the night. Dinner onboard.
Day 4 After early breakfast take the opportunity to visit the Sea Gipsy settlement and learn about their culture. You can either take part in a jungle hike up the West Peek of Lampi Island (medium strength about 3.5 hours) or take the sea kayaks and explore the mangrove forest along the outside of the lagoon. Join back for lunch on MV Nautica and depart to Great Swinton Island (Kyun Pilar). In the afternoon we will drop anchor in front of "Long Beach" one of the most beautiful beaches of the archipelago. 3.5 km snow white sandy beach, ideal for swimming snorkelling and sunbathing. During sunset we will cruise to "Iguana Bay" located on a small peninsular at the south-western side of the island. Dinner and overnight in-front of Iguana Bay.
Day 5 After breakfast take the sea kayak or rubber dinghy and cross the bay to a small islet about 2 km away, circum navigate the island and enjoy the magnificent views or discover what kind of corals and fish you can find in the crystal clear water. Around noon we will continue our safari while having lunch further south to reach Bolder (Buddha Bay) Island. The vast granite boulders and rock formations around the island make an ideal back drop for your photo album. Explore various secluded beaches around the small (about 2 sqkm) island, join a jungle trek through the island or just breath in the nature around you. For dinner we will cross over to Nabucco's Andaman Resort on Macleod Island. After dinner MV Nautica will depart for an overnight cruise back to Kawthaung (2.5 - 3 hours). Overnight on MV Nautica.
Day 6 After breakfast disembark the boat and take part in a short sightseeing tour around the bustling border town. Stroll through the lively market near the Jetty, visit the famous "Victoria Point", the most southern tip of Myanmar's mainland, photo stop at the King "Bayint Naung" statue, who is famous in Burmese history for invading and destroying Ayudhaya in old Siam. Visit the "Pyi Daw Aye Pagoda" with scenic views across the river to Ranong and finish the tour with a short drive through the fishermen settlements on the outskirts of the town. Embark Nautica check-out Myanmar and cross the Pakchan River to Ranong and check-in to Thailand. After lunch onboard it is time to say good bye to the Crew. Travel early afternoon by Minibuses to Khao Lak, Phuket Airport or to your hotel within Phuket.
